Terms of Service — MailCleaner for Gmail
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MailCleaner for Gmail, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
These terms apply to the MailCleaner for Gmail Windows desktop application and this official website. They should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
Description of Service
MailCleaner for Gmail is a Windows desktop application that helps you find and review unwanted or space-consuming Gmail messages. Features may include Smart Clean, Large Emails, Old Emails, Subscriptions, and Sender Cleanup.
MailCleaner presents candidate messages so you can review them. Cleanup actions are performed only after your explicit confirmation. Selected messages are moved to Gmail Trash. MailCleaner does not permanently delete Gmail messages.
Gmail Authorization
To use Gmail-related features, you must sign in with Google OAuth and grant the permissions requested by the application. Those permissions are limited to what is necessary for MailCleaner’s functionality.
You may revoke MailCleaner access at any time through your Google Account permissions. Gmail remains a service provided by Google, and your use of Gmail continues to be governed by Google’s own terms and policies.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Using MailCleaner in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
- Maintaining access to your Google Account and Windows device.
- Reviewing messages before confirming any cleanup action.
- Understanding that moving messages to Gmail Trash can affect your mailbox and storage.
You should not use MailCleaner to access any Gmail account that you are not authorized to use.
Email Cleanup Actions
MailCleaner does not automatically permanently delete your email. You must review selected messages and confirm cleanup actions. After confirmation, selected messages are moved to Gmail Trash.
Recovery of messages after they are moved to Trash depends on Gmail. MailCleaner does not guarantee that messages can be restored after a cleanup action is confirmed.
No Guarantee of Storage Savings
MailCleaner may help you identify messages that consume Gmail storage, but it does not guarantee a specific amount of storage savings. Actual results depend on your mailbox, the messages you choose to clean, Gmail’s storage calculation, and other factors outside MailCleaner’s control.
Availability
MailCleaner for Gmail is a Windows desktop application. Availability through the Microsoft Store or other distribution channels may change over time. Features depend on Google’s Gmail services and APIs remaining available and on the permissions you grant.
MailCleaner for Gmail does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every Windows configuration or Gmail account setting.
Intellectual Property
MailCleaner for Gmail, including its name, branding, website content, and software, is owned by MailCleaner for Gmail unless otherwise indicated. These terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the application except as permitted by applicable law.
Gmail, Google, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. MailCleaner for Gmail is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google except as required to describe interoperability with Gmail through Google OAuth and Google APIs.
Disclaimer
MailCleaner for Gmail is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
MailCleaner for Gmail does not warrant that analysis results will identify every unwanted message or that cleanup actions will produce any particular outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MailCleaner for Gmail shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, storage, profits, or business, arising from your use of the application.
Because you review and confirm cleanup actions, you remain responsible for the messages you choose to move to Gmail Trash.
Changes to Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published on this website. Continued use of MailCleaner for Gmail after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
