How does MailCleaner access Gmail?

MailCleaner for Gmail is a Windows desktop application. Gmail access is performed through Google OAuth. You sign in with your Google Account and grant only the permissions necessary for mailbox analysis and cleanup features. Analysis is performed locally on your computer where applicable. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your Windows device.

Does MailCleaner permanently delete emails?

No. MailCleaner does not permanently delete Gmail messages. You review selected messages first. When you explicitly confirm a cleanup action, selected messages are moved to Gmail Trash.

Does MailCleaner sell my Gmail data?

No. MailCleaner does not sell Gmail user data, does not use Gmail data for advertising, and does not transfer Gmail data to advertising networks or data brokers. MailCleaner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I revoke Gmail access?

Yes. You can revoke MailCleaner access through your Google Account permissions at any time. After access is revoked, MailCleaner cannot use the previously granted authorization to access your Gmail account. You may also sign out of the application or uninstall it from Windows.

Where is MailCleaner available?

MailCleaner for Gmail is a Windows desktop application. It is coming soon to the Microsoft Store. A store listing will be shared on the home page when it is available.
